MASTER OF EDUCATION DEGREE In READING with INITIAL LICENSURE
Application & Financing MaterialsThis M. Ed. Degree is ideal for teachers who hold an initial in the following areas:
who wish to move to professional status and earn an Initial License in Reading or those who hold a professional license and wish a new initial license in Reading K-12.
- Early Childhood
- Elementary 1-6
- English Language Learners
- Teacher of Students with Moderate and Severe Disabilities
- Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Teacher of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing
This Master of Education Degree in Reading is offered as a Site-Based Program in collaboration with Salem State College and the Northeast Consortium. The Master in Reading program consists of 36 graduate credits (11 courses) with a set curriculum, which, by design, is completed in five semesters. Up to two courses (6 credits) may be transferred into the program with the approval of Salem State College's Dean of Graduate Education.
This program is approved by the Massachusetts Department of Education.
